The developer had mentioned months ago that their plans were to bring a new season every 3 months, but there was a change in this decision.

Why will the seasons take longer to reach the multiplayer of Halo Infinite?

This took fans by surprise, who were expecting new content to be offered every 3 months and not around almost every half year. However, there is a good reason 343 Industries made this decision.

As explained by Joseph Staten, creative head of the project, the studio chose to extend the duration of Season 1 in order to give itself more time to ensure that Season 2 meets its quality standards and that its development is completed in a manner. “sustainable and healthy” for the study; in other words, to avoid the crunch (remember that the end of the year parties are approaching).

What will happen to the subsequent seasons? 343 Industries did not speak about it, but only mentioned that Season 1 would be the one that would be extended, so it is possible that the others fulfill the duration period of 3 months.

The studio promised to provide more details around the schedule for Season 1 and Season 2, as well as the Co-op and Forge campaign in January of next year.

That’s not all, some may think that Season 1 will be empty after this news, but the truth is different, as the studio took advantage of this extension to offer “additional events, personalization objects and more content” to make this experience online something satisfying from start to finish.

As an example, it was mentioned that players logging into multiplayer on Halo Infinite will unlock a collection of cosmetic items themed for the 20th anniversary of Halo. Likewise, the opening event Fracture: Tenrai was confirmed, which will begin on November 23 and will offer the first opportunity to get the pieces of samurai armor and other items.
