We already know that The Gunk, the new game from the creators of the saga SteamWorld, it would arrive sometime in December after having postponed its original release date, set for September, but at an event that Thunderful Games held yesterday, its release date was finally confirmed: September 16 on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC at a price of 29.99 euros in Spain.
On the occasion of this announcement a new trailer focused on Fiona Nova, actress who voices Rani, the protagonist of The Gunk To which we will control during its challenging adventure by an alien planet in which it will have to absorb the black slime that gives its name to the game. You can see the new video below:
Those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass will not have to pay for it, since The Gunk to be available from launch on Microsoft’s subscription gaming service. Be available on all platforms where the subscription is available, that is, on consoles and PC, although we have to confirm whether or not to be compatible with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cloud game. What we do know is that in principle it will be completely exclusive to Xbox: not be available ni and Steam ni and Epic Games Store, only on the Xbox digital store and on the subscription platform itself.
The Gunk is the first three-dimensional video game of Image & Form, studio responsible for the franchise SteamWorld that recently renamed Thunderful Games; not be the last, that’s right, because yesterday’s event was announced SteamWorld Headhunter, a new installment of this versatile saga to bet on action and adventures in cooperative in a new three-dimensional graphic section. We still do not know practically anything about this last project, neither platforms on which it will be available nor its estimated launch window.
