On a day like today, it’s fair 10 to, came to stores for the first time The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, an RPG that Bethesda released three years after its previous big project, Fallout 3, and five years after the previous installment of the saga, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. And if we say that it was the first time it hit the market, it was because since then the company has launched it on practically all possible platforms: it was first published in PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, then received a Special Edition for PS4 y Xbox One, later an adaptation for virtual reality and another for Nintendo Switch, and today it has been relaunched in PS5 y Xbox Series X/S with a version renamed as’The Elder Scrolls V: Anniversary Edition‘.
This Anniversary Edition ya is available on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, Xbox One and PC at a recommended price of 54,99 in Spain, although those who have the Special Edition (including the Xbox Game Pass version) can pay 19.99 to get this new version that includes more than 500 items from the Creation Club. In addition to celebrating the anniversary of Skyrim relaunching the game again, Bethesda today organized a concert of his great soundtrack that will take place in London, but that we will be able to see in YouTube and Twitch from 8:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
Throughout these 10 years Skyrim has remained in the limelight not only because of the reissues, which also, but thanks to new content both official and created by the community (have ms the 60,000 mods and NexusMods, although Vandal we have compiled some of the best), and even horses between them thanks to the founding of the Creation Club in 2017. The first thing that was put up for sale to expand the original work were their DLC: in 2012 they were published The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Hearthfire, an expansion that allows us to build our own house and adopt children, among other things, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dawnguard, a new story arc with a vampire theme. Close this trilogue of expansions The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn, a DLC set on a new island that led us to fight against another Dragon Blood.
Even without extra content, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has already dazzled criticism since its launch 10 years ago: in Metacritic soon reached the mean score of 96 that it maintains to this day, something that was also replicated at the sales level with 7 million units at launch and more than 30 million five years later. On Vandal we also spoke highly of him, as you can see in our original review.
