Forcarei enjoys its local holiday with a program to celebrate San Martiño

Music, games and chestnuts will commemorate San Martiño’s day today, a local holiday in Forcarei. The City Council organized a party so that the neighbors can enjoy this celebration, proposing different outdoor activities to recover the normality that COVID broke 20 months ago.

Around 1:00 p.m. a mass and procession of San Martiño will be celebrated, which will be accompanied by a group of bagpipers. In the afternoon, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Praza da Igrexa will host a party in which the little ones can enjoy traditional games, such as hoops, frog, spinning tops, rope or sack races . Music will not be lacking in this same space. In addition, from 7.30 pm hot chestnuts will be distributed to all attendees, ending with a fireworks display. The Council thanked the neighborhood for the involvement in this day.
