One of the surprises that The Legend of Zelda received this year was the long-awaited version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, a game that arrived on the Switch last July. It has been a few months since then and it has just been confirmed that the renewed title equaled the total sales of the original released in 2011 for Wii.

As we have mentioned in different recent notes, Nintendo met with its investors recently and discussed some important topics, including the total sales of its most relevant games as part of its financial results report.

One of them is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which in a few months has equaled (and perhaps surpassed at the time of this writing) the sales achieved by the original version in all its time.

Here you can see it:

As you can see, the Nintendo Switch version of the game has already managed to sell more than 3.60 million units (until the end of September 2021), while the original Wii game achieved approximately 3.67 million, according to analyst Daniel Ahmad.
